Have you ever watched a play and had a burning desire to leap up from your seat and join in on the action?
Well, this is your chance!
Belvoir St Theatre is kicking off the New Year with Oedipus Schmoedipus – a theatrical extravaganza with a difference.. The brainchild of post (Australia’s silliest/smartest theatre bunch), Oedipus Schmoedipus is the product of mashing together the death scenes from some of the greatest plays of all time.
Dark, joyful and over the top, this is a bid for theatre history, and you could join in on the fun. The show will star a new cast of volunteers every night, and Belvoir want you to be one of them.
They want you, your aunty, your next door neighbour and their cousin once removed. Everyone and anyone is welcome to participate. You don’t need any experience at all, you won’t need to memorise anything and you’ll rehearse with post on the day of performance.
