There’s only one day left before our gripping new series The Returned premieres on Australian TV, and it seems that people just can’t stop talking about this breathtaking mystery-thriller with a twist.
With the Spectator UK calling it “the best series you will see on TV all year”, it’s no surprise that The Returned has already taken the Australian media by storm. The series has received rave reviews from Sun Herald, Who Magazine, Herald Sun, Richard Glover’s The Critics, ABC Radio National and TV Tonight amongst others. We knew that The Returned was one of the finest series to hit our screens, but we wanted to know if you, our viewers agreed. A panel of lucky STUDIO viewers were selected to receive a special preview screening of the very first episode, and it turns out – they were just as captivated by The Returned as we were. I expected ghosts, or maybe zombies, but those who have returned from the dead – and they have no idea – are very real, in some ways more real than the broken people they left behind. Terrific acting, beautifully shot, wonderful haunting soundtrack. It’s one of the best things I’ve seen in years. I can’t wait to see more.

Stories within a story, visually stunning and so enthralling, viewers will be hanging onto every word, every character and every scene, all while sitting on the very edge of their seat! How we’re going to cope with the anticipation of each new episode, I don’t know.
