LIL BUB
The star of tonight’s show and arguably the most famous cat on the internet, this adorable ‘perma-kitten’ shot to stardom, having released a book this September and amassing close to half a million Facebook fans.  Lil Bub’s adorable appearance is a result of being born with several genetic mutations, including extra opposable thumbs on her paws.

This little ball of half-shorn Pomeranian fluff’s Facebook page says it all – “My name is Boo. I am a dog. Life is good”. DARCY THE FLYING HEDGEHOG
Usually, we’re ones to steer clear of anything covered in sharp, prickly spines – but if we’re ever going to change that, it’s for this little guy. An absolute natural in front of the camera, you’ll soon be enchanted by his hilarious poses – lounging in tea cups, romancing Gremlins and snoozing next to piles of M&Ms.

HENRI LE CHAT NOIR
If you’re after an internet animal sensation with a little more angst – then Henri the existential cat might be just for you. Calling himself the world’s first and foremost feline philosopher, millions have been captivated by his musings. So sit down, pour a wine and get philosophical with this charming French cat. CLICK HERE TO WATCH

TILLMAN THE SKATEBOARDING DOG
Behind the droopy cheeks and puppy dogs eyes of this British bulldog lies the soul of a skateboarder – think Tony Hawk meets Beethoven. A video of Tillman skating Venice Beach went viral in 2008, and since then this coordinated canine has amassed legions of fans and starred in a commercial for Apple. CLICK HERE TO WATCH

CHRISTIAN THE LION
This is one that’s sure to tug on your heart strings and cause a few tears. Christian was adopted by two Australian men in the late 60s. After several years in their company, he became too large for captivity and was released into the wild. When the pair visited Christian many years later, they assumed he would have no memory of them – this was not the case.

GRUMPY CAT
Yet another feline who will feature in tonight’s Lil Bub and Friendz, this is the animal who seems least impressed about her new found fame. Originally named ‘Tartar Sauce’, Grumpy Cat’s face has been plastered across countless memes – she’s even made an appearance on the front page of the Wall Street Journal .

EDDIE THE OTTER
Look out Lebron, there’s an otter at Oregon Zoo who can slam dunk with the best of them. Staff trained 16 year old Eddie to play basketball as an inventive way to exercise his joints after he developed arthritis. CLICK HERE TO WATCH

MARCELL THE SHELL WITH SHOES ON
Now our final pick may not ‘technically’ be an animal – but it’s just too dang adorable not to include. Marcel, the brain child of Jenny Slates from Parks & Recreation, is a pleasant but insecure shell who wears shoes, has a raisin for a beanbag and uses corn chips to go hang-gliding. CLICK HERE TO WATCH
